If you prefer to view a piece of legislation without annotations or reference numbers, select the Show text without annotations hyperlink, near the top right-hand corner of the page.
This option will hide the reference numbers within the text and the annotations below the provision. Note that the amendment text will still appear in blue and be enclosed in square brackets to indicate it is not original text (see Amendments in the amended legislation). Similarly, prospectively repealed text will still appear in italics.
When annotations have been hidden in this way, the Show text without annotations hyperlink changes to View annotations (as in the screenshot below). Use this hyperlink if you wish to have annotations displayed once again.
